DESIGNED AS PART OF YOUR WHOLE EVENT

Atmosphere, expressed through every detail.

Floral design gives an event its texture, scale and sense of occasion. Lotus Production connects flowers and décor with the room, lighting, table settings and overall production to create a cohesive environment. We design for weddings, special events, corporate gatherings and galas in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland, with each arrangement considered as part of the experience your guests enter.

A VISUAL LANGUAGE FOR THE WHOLE EVENT

Our starting point is your preferred atmosphere: romantic, architectural, understated, abundant or something entirely personal. We discuss color, floral shapes, textures, the venue’s existing character and the priorities of your budget. Inspiration images are useful conversation tools, but a successful design also responds to the actual space, guest count and event schedule.

A connected design might carry the same palette from a ceremony installation to the reception tables, or introduce a deliberate transition between spaces. Flowers should work with the furniture, linen, china and lighting. Considering those relationships together helps the room feel thoughtfully composed rather than assembled from unrelated decorative pieces.

CEREMONY FLOWERS AND PERSONAL DETAILS

Ceremony florals can frame the place where your vows or formalities take place, create an aisle experience, or accent a custom structure. We can discuss arrangements for American altars, Persian Sofreh Aghd settings, Jewish chuppahs and Indian mandaps alongside the dedicated Ceremony Design & Custom Creation service. The appropriate installation depends on the venue and the structure selected.

Bouquets and personal flowers can connect the people at the center of the occasion with the wider visual story. Share your preferences, attire palette and any meaningful blooms during the design conversation. Flower varieties, quantities and substitutions should be confirmed in the proposal, taking seasonality and availability into account rather than assuming an exact inspiration image can always be replicated.

RECEPTION CENTERPIECES AND TABLESCAPES

A reception table must be both beautiful and comfortable. We consider centerpiece height, sightlines, table shape, place settings and the space required for dining service. Low arrangements can encourage conversation; taller designs can create drama in a large room. A mix of scales may help a ballroom feel layered while maintaining an intentional overall composition.

Candles, vessels and floral accents should complement one another and follow the venue’s rules. Where open flames are restricted, suitable alternatives can be discussed. Head tables, sweetheart tables, entrances and other focal points can receive a different level of emphasis according to your priorities. The aim is to direct attention thoughtfully rather than give every surface the same treatment.

CORPORATE DÉCOR AND PRACTICAL DESIGN

For a conference, company launch or fundraising gala, floral décor should support the organization’s tone and the purpose of the event. Reception desks, lounges, dining tables and program spaces can each benefit from a considered floral direction. Provide any brand palette, venue restrictions or presentation requirements during consultation.

Lotus can combine floral design with catering, lighting, rentals and full-service production, or discuss a selected décor scope within a larger event. Share your date, venue, guest count and the areas you would like to transform. We will use that information to discuss design priorities, installation considerations and the next steps toward a tailored proposal. Gallery images are design concepts and do not guarantee specific flower varieties, quantities or package inclusions.

HOW IS A COHESIVE FLORAL DESIGN CREATED?

Begin with your setting, palette and priorities. Ceremony arrangements, entrance pieces, guest-table florals and stage or sweetheart-table décor can share a visual language while serving different purposes. Burgundy, blush, ivory or deep-purple accents can be considered around the venue and your personal style.

WHAT AFFECTS FLORAL SCOPE AND PRICING?

Arrangement scale, flower selection, season, quantity, installation access and removal requirements affect the design scope. Share inspiration and your priorities during consultation. Availability and any substitutions should be discussed before the final design is confirmed.
